Temple bells shining like gold
Temple bells ringing so bold
That frozen mountain pass
Wasn’t easy at the last
Temple bells, calling me home
The sun is a mirror of brass
And the cold mountain lake is like glass
The pilgrim on the road
Bends beneath his heavy load
Temple bells, are calling him home
When you see life
Then you will know how to meet life
Not win or lose or defeat life
Then you are on your way home
Temple bells and the sounds from below
Fade away as I walk on my own
All those places I have been
Pass before me like a dream
Temple bells are calling me home
Temple bells from so long long ago
Will return me to the cities below
On those streets of love and pain
I will one day walk again
Temple bells will carry me home
