<description>We have moments of grace in our lives followed by periods of unrest, of dis ease. Without the moments of grace, we might lose the will to continue on this journey, called life. We strive for the things of this world when we are young--money, education, material comforts or luxuries, and even for those who attain them, they are no guarantee of serenity. For those who do not attain them, they might always remain the elusive promise of peace --when I am rich, when I get my degree, when I earn this promotion, or when I retire, I will be happy, peaceful, satisified etc. Of course, as we age, we come to see that those are empty promises, that serenity is in the moment, in periods of grace, that are given, not bought, or earned. Children grow up, spouses leave or become ill, the job we thought would bring us joy has its downside, its difficulties. We ourselves, fall ill, become injured, and experience our &#039;fall from grace&#039;. But the really cool thing about grace--is that it remains a gift and can return at any time, if we remain open to it. Our real work, it seems to me, is just that.
Knowing you baba, I know that you have been and continue to be a great success in our real work. Thank you for your sharing here. Love
